Archetypes of The Zodiac

Nothing in the universe exists in separation from anything else and the astrological chart is no different. Just like in other areas of reality, we see two poles on an axis or plane of expression. Think hot & cold or up & down. Each of the first six houses & rulers has their pair on the opposite side of the chart. These pairs are Aries & Libra, Taurus & Scorpio, Gemini & Sagittarius, Cancer & Capricorn, Leo & Aquarius and Virgo & Pisces. Rather than thinking of them as opposites, it is helpful to think of them as the same note in different octaves. An inner and an outer expression. While the first house ruled by Aries is where you develop your sense of self as an individual, its seventh house pair Libra develops that sense of self through relationship with others.
